Where do I start?
How it works
Tell Me About Your Garden
Complete a simple enquiry form with details about your garden, the border you’d like to transform and your address. You may also wish to share a photo or two of your garden. I’ll then get in touch to arrange a convenient time to visit your garden and discuss your ideas.
60 Minute Consultation
We’ll meet in your garden to discuss your style, colour preferences, requirements, and how much time you realistically want to spend caring for it. I’ll review the space, test the soil, and share initial ideas and inspiration to help you see what’s possible.
I live in Lymm and am happy to visit homes in the Cheshire area. The cost of the hour consultation is £50.
Bring Your Border to Life
If you’d like more support and a detailed plan, I can create a bespoke illustrated planting design with layout, plant choices, and a shopping list with quantities. I’ll consider your budget, existing plants, and lifestyle to create a practical plan you can complete at your own pace.
Costs depend on the size of your border.

I messaged Sue after seeing her posts on social media as I needed somebody to look at my walled garden as I didn’t know how to improve it without asking a landscaper to come and quote for it, which I knew would be costly.
Sue arrived promptly and walked through the garden. She analysed the soil quality and advised me on what I needed to do to get it to a minimal maintenance space and how to get the most out of it with growing vegetables, fruit and plants to suit my busy lifestyle and also cater to my families needs and tastes.
This is a service that is unique, though needed for me so I can address some of the problem areas whilst getting honest, expert advice from somebody who knows their stuff.
Thanks Sue 😀

I recently contacted Sue ‘The Garden Nurse’ to help me with planting out some borders in my garden ahead of the summer season. Whilst I love to see beautiful gardens I’ve never really had the confidence to know what plants would thrive in my garden so would always plants a few bedding plants for seasonal colour and hope for the best. I asked Sue what she would suggest to make the borders colourful now and still have some interest during the winter months.
I chose a colour palate of pink, purple and white.. we discussed a budget and a few days later Sue arrived with all the plants and we planted up together. Sue explained each plant’s flowering season and pruning requirements, and has also given me a plan of each border so I know for future reference.
Sue made the process so easy and the results are fantastic, I can’t wait to see everything bloom in the coming months. Thanks Sue!!

Sue has been a brilliant find.
She is very knowledgeable about plants and has some great ideas. She would be happy to design from scratch or work with your own suggestions.
We have an established garden and Sue has been so good at helping maintain everything and suggesting new developments.

I can’t recommend Sue@the_gardennurse enough! We had two really tired, unloved borders that we just didn’t know what to do with and Sue completely transformed them.
She was so friendly, approachable and knowledgable, taking the time to understand what we wanted and recommending plants that would work in our garden.
We’re over the moon with the results.
